Conclusions
Observed Aspects
T2000 has a performance comparable to an entry-level supercomputer. As we see in the selected operation point, T2000 is 5.8 times slower that Copper. This performance in surprising considering that Copper is a parallel computer designed to obtain high output levels.
T2000 has SWaP rating 130 times higher than Copper. This fact is pointing the impact of the revolutionary design of the Sun machine. SWaP metric is showing us that the performance is not only the only aspect to take into account. Copper is consuming 56.7 times more power and is using 21 times more space.
T2000 is an excellent machine to build big parallel computing clusters or big datacenters. If we look at the SWaP results is clear that an array of T2000 machines will give us a powerful supercomputer and we will make big savings in power consumption and space.
